acronym and emoticon

sometimes when you are using the IM or SMS and some words are too long
then we, humans start to create ACRONYM or short form to ease our needs
personally, i don't know why i do not like to use them in IM or SMS
sometimes i think its a nuisance to use it, so i'm revealing the 5 acronym that i use

#1 LOL
- which stands for 'Laugh Out Loud'
- one of my favourite to use, widely used by me and everyone

#2 BTW/FYI
- which stands for 'By The Way' and 'For Your Infomation'
- you can see that both phrase is long and people are lazy to type it all out
- this is to save time and to start something juicy like GOSSIPS

#3 AFK
- which stands for 'Away From Keyboard'
- very handy too when you are really away from your keyboard
- this another way of telling a person that you are away

#4 FTW
- which stands for 'For The Win'
- some of my friends thinks that this doesn't make any sense
- its fun to use it when you like something, like showing your joy
- the expression for this is like 'WOOTS'
- e.g. BLACKBERRY FTW or GARETT FTW

#5 BRB
- which stands for 'Be Right Back'
- commonly and widely used by everyone
- everyone bound to use this because its somehow very handy



in MSN messenger or the current version, Windows Live Messenger
provides us all emoticon to show our feeling
you can use the default emoticon or customize ones
i used to enjoy using them but not anymore, i prefer 'typed' emoticon

i think its annoying having too much customize emoticon
especially when it clashes your sentence, making it hard to see and understand
so i do not have any customize ones, some emoticon don't even make sense
for example; i'm going to *eat*emoticon* and watch *movie*emoticon*

as i grow older or rather mature, i don't emoticon is all that important
used to have tons of customized emoticon, and so afraid of losing them
also asking whoever is online to send me some emoticon, just so i can widen my collection
when i realised that it clashes with every sentence i'm typing, i stop using them

my favourite typed emoticons are;

#5 X}

and i dislike using this; ^^
i don't know why, it just annoys me somehow

lately, my friends asked me 'why didn't you update any pictures?'
the only thing i can is 'there's nothing i can update about'
well i can try to relate it with my updates, but it not easy
